About

My name is Jessica, I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) and Art Therapist (DVATI). My approach is warm, compassionate, and collaborative, creating a space where you can feel heard, respected, and supported.
I incorporate creativity into therapy when it feels meaningful and helpful, offering another way to explore experiences that may be difficult to put into words. No artistic experience is needed and sessions may include art-making, conversation, or a combination of both.
My hope is that Hidden Colours Counselling provides a safe space to slow down, explore what matters to you, and discover new ways of understanding yourself. I aim to meet each person with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment.
Areas of Support
Depression
Creative expression can offer a different way to explore difficult emotions, reconnect with yourself, and build awareness of your needs, strengths, and sources of meaning.
Anxiety
Art Therapy can provide a gentle way to slow down, express what may be we may not be able to put into words. It can also be a tool for emotional regulation to support anxious thoughts and feelings.
Chronic Pain
Art Therapy can provide space to explore the emotional experience of living with chronic pain, such as chronic pelvic pain, while supporting self-expression, coping, and connection with your body.
Grief & Loss
Grief can be difficult to express through words alone. Art Therapy can offer a meaningful space to honour your experience, process emotions, and explore the changes that come with loss.
Life Transitions
Whether a transition is planned or unexpected, change can bring uncertainty and a range of emotions. Art Therapy can support reflection, self-discovery, and finding a sense of direction as you navigate something new.
Trauma
Art Therapy can offer a safe, supportive and paced approach to exploring experiences of trauma. Creative expression may provide alternative ways to communicate, process emotions, and reconnect with a sense of safety and control.
